Piano and Ensemble Festivals
Piano Festivals
and Ensemble Festivals are non-competitive programs designed to encourage and motivate students through a festival format, where repertoire is performed and students receive written comments and a rating from 1-5.   Students receiving a "5" are invited (but not required) to perform at the CAPMT Northern Festival.


Date: Saturday, November 16, 2024
Location: Gradus ad Parnassum Music Academy, Recital Hall, San Mateo, CA
Fees: $45-$70 depending on level

Piano Festivals Overview
  • Levels 1-10
  • Two Solo Pieces (memorization not required)
    • One must be from syllabus
  • One Accompanied Piece (piano duet/4 hands or piano duo) - memorization not necessary
    • Piece must be from syllabus

Ensemble Festivals Overview
  • Levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
  • Any combination of instruments and voice
  • Repertoire does not need to be memorized
